Rooms & Facilities

Shantiniketan Home is housed in a building of 20 rooms at present, with a lift facility. Each room is suitable for double sharing with two single beds. We can also provide single occupancy rooms on demand.

ROOMS :
There are two types of rooms -

Deluxe Rooms  |  Standard rooms

All the rooms are well-ventilated. The rooms have beautiful glass windows protected by iron grills covered with curtains. (Air conditions in rooms on demand) . Bathrooms are furnished with 6’ high glaze tiles, a shower, a geyser, western style latrine. The rooms and toilets are kept neatly cleaned creating a good hygienic environment.

FACILITIES :
Among the furniture in the rooms are a bed (including Mattress, Bed Sheet, Pillow, Blankets, etc.), bedside table, chair, and almirah with mirror. Rooms are fitted with ceiling fans, light and night lamps, calling bell also. A common lounge is available on every floor with a dining arrangement, refrigerator, and water purifier. However, packaged drinking water is available on demand.

FOOD :
We provide and pride ourselves in serving the finest breakfast, meals, fresh fruits, and vegetables found in the market together with fresh non-vegetable items. To keep the inmates healthy and considering the age factor we provide them with tasty and nutritious food. A nutritionist is consulted who suggests the nutritional requirements of residents. We have a fully equipped kitchen with a full-time cook.

RECREATION & OTHER FACILITIES :
Movies on demand, TV with cable connection, books, daily newspaper, internet, carom, chess and cards.

We also provide -

• Daily housekeeping.

• Linen service twice a week.

• Trash pick-up daily.
